Typhoid Fever

Typhoid fever is a disease caused by salmonella typhi bacteria and causes disturbances in the gastrointestinal tract. If it’s not treated appropriately, typhoid fever can be fatal ( cause death). Blood and digestive tract of patients with typhoid fever consist of salmonella typhi (S. Typhi).

Search this disease occurs directly through food or water (drink) contaminated. Typhoid fever generally occurs in areas with sanitation and poor drainage system.

Salmonella typhi bacteria will enter the digestive tract (gut) spread to liver, spleen and gall bladder through blood and breed there. Flies also play role in the spreading of typhoid fever by bringing salmonella typhi bacteria from feces to the food they got.

The symptoms of typhoid fever appears within 1-3 weeks after person are exposed the bacteria. Typhoid fever does not have potentially contagious when salmonella typhi bacteria are no longer contained in feces or urine, usually a week after symptoms is better.

Nevertheless there are some people who recover from typhoid fever but in their feces still contained salmonella typhi, they look healthy and show no symptoms of the disease but actually they still carry the bacteria cause typhoid fever in the body.
